Worksheet for Teaching Basic Adjectives that Describe Animals
Worksheet Level: Beginner
Worksheet Description: This is a simple animal adjectives worksheet I created. I made it for the grade 3 & 4 students in the Japanese school I teach at. It's nothing special, but if you can use it, then be my guest.
Animal Adjectives: big, small, fast, slow, strong, dangerous, cute
Execution
- first teach animals names. The most common method is probably to use animal flashcards. Find them online.
- then ask your students "What animals are BIG?" Brainstorm with them. Make a list on the board for each adjective.
- give the worksheets to the students and have them write the name(s) of animals that can be described by each adjective in the correct box.
- when finished, check their answers. You could also get them to form a line (or stand up) and ask each student to make one or two sentences from their sheet. For example, ask "T: What animal...is dangerous? S: (The goat is dangerous. / Goats are dangerous)."
Although the worksheet is an image, feel free to edit the animal adjective worksheet if you wish.

After teaching these adjectives, you can teach animal habitats with the help of this worksheet.
Enjoy.

Hey, Thanks a bunch for the list. My only suggestion is to include ‘tasty’ as an alternative adjective :)
