What Teachers are Saying (from anonymous teacher feedback)
- "Great content! Sites like ESL brains do a good job but the lessons could be a bit random and not really intellectual enough." – Seki W., Tutor, Toronto
- “I really appreciate the originality of the lessons on English Current. Stories such as Daryl Davis & the KKK make for engaging discussions, while providing an insight into American history and culture that many international students are not aware of.” – Matt R., Tutor, Portland
- "I think you are doing a terrific job, and I want to thank you for making it available to teachers like me for such a small fee." – Pablo T., Mexico City
- “The lessons are just perfect! It makes my students think and express their opinion and it sure makes learning (and teaching) fun and interesting! Keep those creative contents coming!” – Maan T., Online ESL Teacher, the Philippines
Why so affordable?
- ESL teaching doesn't pay much, so I keep the cost low. I also want membership to be affordable for teachers in developing countries.
- I only write topic-based B1-C2-level lessons for conversational English class. Grammar worksheets, exam prep, etc., aren't the focus (those are already free on the site).
- Lessons are largely text-based and printer-friendly--not built with interactive software using image-heavy layouts. The focus is on content. This keeps overhead low and membership affordable.
